Goemans Appliances is an independent Canadian appliance retailer. The company was founded by Tony Goemans[2] in 1978 in Stoney Creek, Ontario. It is now managed by Jason Goemans, and his two brothers, Jeff and Brad. The company has seven showrooms across southern Ontario in Stoney Creek, St. Catharines, Mississauga, Kitchener, London, Vaughan,[3] and a clearance centre in Burlington. The head office is located in Brampton, Ontario.
History
Tony Goemans opened his first appliance store in 1978 on the corner of Centennial Parkway and King Street West in Stoney Creek, Ontario. He sold appliances during the day, and delivered them in the evening.
In 1988, the showroom moved to a bigger location in Stoney Creek on Queenston Road. This flagship store has more than 17,000 square feet of appliances. The showroom was renovated in 2010.[4]
In 2013, Tony Goemans died from cancer. Jason Goemans, joined by his brothers Jeff and Brad, carried on the family business.[5]

From 2003-2014, the company expanded into new markets, including St. Catharines (2003), Mississauga (2004), Kitchener (2007), London (2009), Vaughan (2014), and Burlington (2010).
The latest expansion includes the relocation of their Mississauga showroom in September 2015 to a larger location with more than 20,000 square feet of appliances on display.
