Grand View Christian School is a private school located near Des Moines, Iowa. Enrollment for the school is about 290 K-12. The high school has about 95 students.
Founding
The school began following the closure of Grandview Park Baptist School in the spring of 2014 due to declining enrollment. The school, affiliated with Grandview Park Baptist Church, suffered through years of dwindling numbers, leading to the church choosing to close its doors. In response, a group of parents established an independent, unaffiliated school known as Grand View Christian School.[1]
The group purchased Norwoodville Elementary School, a closed elementary school in the Saydel School District, located in Norwoodville, an unincorporated community just north of Des Moines.[2]
