Grateley railway station is a railway station that serves the village of Grateley, Hampshire and the surrounding countryside. It is located in western portion of the village, near the hamlet of Palestine, and is just under a mile from the eastern part of the village.^[1] It is operated by South West Trains.

The station opened on 1 May 1857. It was built ¾ mile from the original village after the local landowner objected to it being built any closer.^[2] Since then, a new settlement has grown up around the station.

The station has few facilities; it is unmanned and has one self-service ticket machine, however it does have two car parks for the large number of commuters who use the station.^[3][4]

All trains are operated by South West Trains. There is typically one train per hour to London Waterloo outside of peak time, increasing to two trains per hour to London during morning peak, and two trains per hour from London during evening peak. On Sundays, the frequency decreases to one train every two hours. All westbound trains call at Salisbury, however only a handful continue beyond there.^[5]

Services

South West Trains operates an hourly service between London Waterloo and Salisbury with limited extensions to Bristol Temple Meads, Exeter St Davids and Yeovil Pen Mill. South West Trains run a new service running once each way on a Saturday between Weymouth and London Waterloo operating from late May to early September each year.^[6]
