Gutiérrez (/ˌɡuːtiˈɛərɛz/ GOO-tee-AIR-ez; Spanish: [ɡuˈtjereθ]) is a Spanish surname meaning "son of Gutierre." Gutierre is a form of Gualtierre, Spanish form of Walter. Gutiérrez is the Spanish form of the English surnames Walters, Watkins and Watson.
