Halewood Academy is a secondary school in Halewood, Merseyside, United Kingdom with 980 students. The Principal since September 2013 is Gary Evans.
History
The school was built under the private finance initiative and opened in 2009 as Halewood Centre for Learning, but became an Academy in May 2013.[1]
In April 2015, Ofsted placed the academy in "special measures". In March 2016, the academy announced plans to close its sixth form.[2][3] Between 21 July and 5 September 2016 Halewood Academy merged scholarship with Wade Deacon Academy.[4]
