Hammerhead is a fictional character and the official mascot of West Ham United.

West Ham unveiled Hammerhead in December 2011 to a mixed reception. A semi-robotic character, the storyline behind his creation says he was forged when a bolt of lightning struck the Thames Ironworks and Shipbuilding Company, where West Ham were formed over 100 years ago. [1] He is also described as "as fast as Billy Bonds and blessed with the goalscoring prowess of Vic Watson".[2]
