Hamptophryne alios is a species of frog in the Microhylidae family. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, and Peru.[2] This species used to constitute the monotypic genus Altigius, but molecular phylogenetic analyses have shown it to be close relative of the then-monotypic Hamptophryne, and the two genera have been merged.[3]
Its natural habitats are tropical moist lowland forests, swamps, freshwater marshes, and intermittent freshwater marshes. It is potentially threatened by habitat loss.[1]
