Hande'ye Neler Oluyor? (What's Going On With Hande?) is the eighth studio album by the Turkish singer Hande Yener, released on April 1, 2010.

Album information

During an interview in November 2009, Hande said that she would rpobably return to a more pop-oriented sound, as opposed to the prevailing electronic sound of her three previous albums (Nasıl Delirdim?, Hipnoz and Hayrola?) and her EP Hande Maxi. With the release of this album it became clear that Hande favoured dance-pop, with hints of electropop, reminiscent of some songs from her Apayrı era, over her Türk pop-oriented albums released in the beginning of her career. This album is the first she released under the Poll Production label.

The album contains eleven songs and three remixes, making a total of 14 songs, all of which are written completely by Sinan Akçıl, a Turkish composer, songwriter and music producer perhaps best known for Hadise's 2009 Eurovision Song Contest song "Düm Tek Tek". The album sold more than 50,000 copies in the first week of its release,[1] and went on to sell more than 60,000 copies in its second and third weeks.[2]

Singles from the album

The first singles from the album were "Sopa" (Sticks) and "Yasak Aşk" (Forbidden Love), being released as two separate singles, but mixed into one music video. This video was again directed by Kemal Doğulu, and lasts some four minutes; one and a half for "Sopa", and some two and a half minutes for "Yasak Aşk". "Yasak Aşk" reached the top ten of the Turkish radio station Pal FM,[3] while "Sopa" reached #1 on the top 40 of Radyo Aktif,[4] as well as reaching #3 on İstanbul FM's top 40[5] and #4 on the top 40 of Radyo Klas.[6]

On 1 April, "Bodrum" was also released as a single to radio stations in Turkey. The physical single and music video were released on the 17 June. The single reached #2 on the Radio D top 40,[7] and #5 on the Radyo Moda top 40.[8]
