Helicia ferruginea, commonly named hairy weiner or rusty oak, is a species of rainforest trees, of eastern Australia, and constitutes part of the flowering plant family Proteaceae.[3][4][5]

Botanists know of them growing naturally only (endemic) in the rainforests of south–eastern Queensland and north-eastern New South Wales.[3][4][5][6][7]

As of December 2013 this species has the official, current, Qld government conservation status of "vulnerable" species.[8]

They have been recorded growing up to about 10 m (33 ft) tall.[4][5]
