Hello Internet is an audio podcast hosted by CGP Grey and Brady Haran.[1] It debuted in 2014 and currently has 73 episodes, 1 bonus episode and 1 episode which was released exclusively as a vinyl record.[2][3] The podcast peaked as the #1 iTunes podcast in the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Canada, and Australia in February 2014[4] and was selected as one of Apple's best new podcasts of 2014.[5][6] The podcast is also known for coining the term "freebooting" as a more emotive word than "infringement" to describe the re-hosting of online content by entities separate from the creator of the content, done typically in order to make money from advertisements on the content.[7][8][9] Episodes are typically between one and two hours long.[10]
Popular media website TechCrunch called the podcast "popular".[11]

Official flag
At the end of 2015, a postal vote for the official flag of the podcast was held.[12] A number of flags were designed by the listeners. The hosts selected five candidates for the shortlist. Announcement of the candidates in the bonus episode "The Shortlist" was the official start of the referendum. Listeners had to mail the ballots with their preferences on postcards to cast a vote. An instant-runoff voting voting system was used.[13] The vote count and the announcement of the results was filmed and published as a video episode #53 "Two Dudes Counting".[14]
A separate site "Podcast Postcards" was set up by Brady Haran to publish some of the postcards scanned in high definition.[15] Postcards are being published once a day and some of them have pictures related to the holidays the scans are published on.
