Herbal garden, Jhansi
The Jhansi Herbal Garden (Tiger's Prowl) is located in Jhansi Cantt near Rani Laksmi Bai School, Jhansi Cantonment. The Project is spread across 15 hectares, with a perimeter of 1.5 km. The site contains exotic herbs, flora and fauna of the Bundelkhand in particular and Central India.

The Garden is named after the famous White Tiger of Bundelkhand and stands out to be an unique creation. Not only does it use military scraps being recycled for creating extremely innovative modern art forms but also has a huge variety of medicinal herbs and plants. It houses some 20,000 herbal plants of 27 varieties and 400 varieties of trees.
Herbs include Rajnigandha, Sarpgandha, Bryophyllum, Aloe Vera, Chandni, Tulsi, Chameli, Jatropha, Ashwagandha, Chandni, Amla, Lemon Grass, Chota Elaichi, Lavender, Kapoor Tulsi, Hadjod, Harsingar, Curry Tree, Gardenia, Lajwanti, Henna, Neem and Satavar.
History
Herbal Garden spread over 15 hectares was proposed to be developed in Jhansi Cantonment in the year 2012 by participating in the promotional scheme of National Medicinal Plant Board (NMPB) with the aim to increase the awareness among the local population of medicinal plant and also act as a knowledge hub for college students pursuing agricultural studies. Today, the sprawling wasteland boasts of thousands of medicinal plants and herbs beautified with the innovative use of military scraps and continuously never cease to surprise its visitors by the regular addition of sculptures and art installations.
Artwork
The artwork is original, made by cutting, bending and welding recycled steel and other metals.
Outreach
The Park has been featured on local dailies as http://www.amarujala.com/city-and-states/army-built-on-barren-land-herbal-garden. This park is regularly frequented by local schools who view this as an educational excursion and also a fun outing for the children. Reputed institutions like CKC Academy, Jhansi, White Tiger Pre Primary School (WTAPPS) Jhansi, had trips organized to the Park. The park has open and free entry for all.
