Herbert Sherman Houston (November 23, 1866 - May 16, 1955) served on the executive committee of the League to Enforce Peace during World War I. He was president of the Associated Advertising Clubs of the World and vice president of Doubleday & Company.[1][2]

Biography

He was born on November 23, 1866 in Champaign, Illinois to Samuel Houston and Emeline Sherman.[1] From 1915 to 1916 he was president of the Associated Advertising Clubs of the World. He founded the Cosmos Newspaper Syndicate in 1924.[2]

He died on May 16, 1955.[1]

Legacy

He was inducted into the American Advertising Federation Hall of Fame.[3]
