Herman Knowings

Herman "Helicopter" Knowlings is a former streetball player from Harlem, New York.[1] Described as a legendary basketball player by the New York Times. [2] He was 6'5" and initially played for Ben Franklin High School (New York) [1] ESPN ranked him as one of the Elite 24 players who played at Rucker Park[1] He ranks higher than many NBA players in streetball competitions all time.[3] He died in April 1980 at 37 while driving his cab.[4]
