How the Grinch Stole Christmas is an upcoming American computer-animated Christmas comedy film produced by Illumination Entertainment. It is based on Dr. Seuss' story of the same name. The film will be released on November 9, 2018 by Universal Pictures.

Production
Illumination Entertainment is developing a 3D animated feature film,[1] with Peter Candeland and Yarrow Cheney set to direct it and Benedict Cumberbatch voicing the title character.[2] It was originally scheduled to be released on November 10, 2017,[3] but in June 2016, it was pushed back to November 9, 2018.[4]
