Hoyte van Hoytema (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌɦɔi̯tə vɑn ˈɦɔi̯təmə], born 4 October 1971) is a Dutch-Swedish[1] cinematographer who studied at the National Film School in Łódź. He has worked primarily in Sweden, but also in Germany, Norway, the United States and the United Kingdom. His recent, high-profile work include Her, Interstellar, and the James Bond film Spectre.
Life and work
Hoytema has shot several feature films, documentaries, and successful TV series. His collaboration with directors Mikael Marcimain and Tomas Alfredson has won him critical acclaim and a collection of national and international prizes.
Hoytema founded photo-sharing website Woophy with Joris van Hoytema and Marcel Geenevasen. The website was founded in 2005 and shut down in December 24, 2013 for lack of funding.
