IPSC Shotgun World Shoots

The IPSC Shotgun World Shoot is the highest level shotgun match within the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC), described as "the Olympics of the Action Shooting Sports".[1]

The match consists of several days, comprising at least 25 separate courses of fire[2] where the best IPSC-shooters from all around the world vie for the title of World Champion. The Handgun World Shoot, Rifle World Shoot and Shotgun World Shoot are held with three year intervals, meaning that since the last Handgun World Shoot was held in 2014, the next Shotgun World Shoot was held during 2015 and the next Rifle World Shoot in 2016.

History

The first Shotgun World Shoot was held in 2012 in Debrecen, Hungary, and subsequent World Shoots are held in three year intervals.
