Ida Mayrin (Hebrew: אידה מיירין; born 30 October 1997) is an Israeli Olympic group rhythmic gymnast.
Personal life
Mayrin was born in Kokand, Uzbekistan, and made aliyah (emigrated) to Israel as a child.[5][6] She lives in Tel Aviv, Israel.[7]
Career
Mayrin began practicing gymnastics at the age of four, and began competing at the age of nine in 2006.[8] Her club is Rishon Le-Zion.[9] She represents Israel in international competitions.
She competed at the 2014 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Izmir, Turkey, where Mayrin won the silver medal in the group 10 clubs event.[10][11][12] Representing Israel at the 2015 European Games in Baku she won silver medals in the group all-around and group clubs and hoops event and a bronze medal in the group ribbons event.[13]
At the 2016 Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships in Holon, Israel, on the Mediterranean coast south of Tel Aviv, Mayrin and the Israeli team won a group gold in the clubs and hoops category, a group silver in the ribbon routine, and a bronze in the all-around competition.[14][15]
Mayrin represented Israel at the 2016 Summer Olympics.[16] She and the Israeli team finished 6th in the final of the group all-around.[17]
