Ikke Nurjanah (born Hartini Erpi Nurjanah; May 18, 1974) is an Indonesian dangdut singer, actress and television presenter. Nurjanah has releasing many dangdut album and often winning dozen Anugerah Musik Indonesia awards for Dangdut field. In addition as singer, Nurjanah also appeared in several film and television, such as Berbagi Suami and Kampung Dangdut. Former head of BKKBN Hayono Suryono appointing Nurjanah to brought for talkshow and as presenter in a cooking show in Indosiar.
Early life and career
Hartini Erpi Nurjanah was born on May 18, 1974, on Jakarta, to an violin player Abdul Pihar Tanjung and Junaerti. She is an youngest child of 4 siblings who grew up in art environment. Initially, Nurjanah aspired to be an kindergarten teacher and instead plunge to dangdut singer. Nurjanah began her debut career for releasing debut album in 1989, titled Ojo Lali and received positive response from music critics. In addition, her hits singles which more popularity in dangdut music industry, are "Sung Sing Suwe", "Terlena" and "Memandangmu", which its single winning two awards of 1999 Anugerah Musik Indonesia, Best Dangdut Song and Best Dangdut Duo/Group/Collaboration. In 1998, Nurjanah represent Indonesia when Japan broadcasting organization NHK inviting Nurjanah to perform at the Asia Live Dream.
Nurjanah is an dangdut singer who has characteristic voice and making great successfully in Indonesian music industry. Nurjanah also winning dozen awards in her dangdut music career, such as 2002 SCTV Music Awards for Most Famous Dangdut Singer, three times in a row for Best Female Dangdut Singer (1997, 1998 and 1999) at Akademi Musik Indonesia, 2005 TPI Dangdut Awards for Famous Dangdut Female Singer.
In 2016, Nurjanah embarked a tour American Seduced by Dangdut 2016 in four United States cities Washington DC, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and New York City for hold the music performances in several cafe, library and campus as well as book discussions.[1] Since in Pittsburgh, Nurjanah awarded by Pittsburgh University to her dedication for cultural exchange student in musical performances.[2]
Personal life
Nurjanah began relationship dating to an member of music group Bragi, Renaldi Hutomo Wahab (alias Aldi Bragi) when met in her campus. On October 16, 1998, Nurjanah has married to her husband and birth to one child. After nine year later, her husband divorcing to Nurjanah in April 3.
