Ilya Nikiforov (born 11 May 1970, Leningrad) is a Russian lawyer, founding member and managing partner at Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners,[1] lecturer at the Department of Civil Law at Saint Petersburg State University School of Law.[2]

He is also a member of the Commission for Human Rights of the Association of Lawyers of Russia[3] and the editorial board of the journal “Treteyskiy Sud”.[4]

ABA (American Bar Association): Russia-Eurasia Committee Vice-Chair (2009- ).

International Chamber of Commerce (ICC): Arbitration Commission Member, Expert of Russian National Committee.[5]

International Bar Association (IBA): Arbitration Committee Vice-Chair (2008–2009), Secretary (2006–2008).[6]

The London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA):[7] European Users' Council, Councillor (2013 -).[8]

Contributed to production of Russian versions of IBA Rules on the Taking of Evidence in International Arbitration;[9] IBA Guidelines on Conflicts of Interest in International Arbitration;[10] Russia Arbitration Guide [11]

Ilya Nikiforov holds a distinct place in the Best Lawyers 2013 rating.[12] He has been recommended for a record-breaking 10 practice areas.
