Academic features

A futuristic curriculum for leadership

GIIS has adopted a futuristic curriculum to impart 21st century skills for students. It focuses on integrating formal with informal learning; learners acquire the necessary skills for inter-disciplinary thinking, critical thinking, problem solving and resolving conflict. This develops leadership and change management skills to face the uncertainties of the emerging knowledge society.

International Knowledge Exchange Program

Students get to interact in person with students and teachers from other global campuses through web-conferencing, thereby giving them an international outlook and satisfying their curiosity about new geographies.[5]

Multi-faceted academic practices

Triggered through technology GIIS’s multi-faceted learning methods address the physical, mental, emotional, psychic, intellectual and spiritual domains of the individual learner, thus acknowledging the uniqueness of each.

The curriculum will also offer facilities for extended learning for a futuristic purpose. They train their students to be ‘lifelong learners’ for the ever changing world.

Excellence through global best practices

GIIS’s Global Centre for Educational Excellence is aligned to the famous Malcolm Baldrige Model founded by NIST, USA in 1997. The top 500 schools in the world follow the Malcolm Baldrige criteria for excellence. So do all educational excellence models around the world, such as Singapore Quality Class and the IMC National Quality awards (India). The Singapore government’s best schools in Asia are modeled on the same, and assessed accordingly. The International Asia Pacific Quality Organization (IAPQO), which has 72 member countries, also rates Asia’s best schools based on this model.

MY GIIS - The GIIS Learning Tracker
