Invictus Private School is an independent co-educational day school in Singapore. The school offers Primary Years, from Grade 1 to Grade 2, to its student for school term beginning in August 2016.

Invictus students undertake the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). In addition, the school will also complement IPC with rigorous Mathematics, English and Mandarin courses.

History

Invictus Private School ‘s mission is to offer quality education to children at a fraction of the cost of comparable international schools. By charging S$ 16,000 per year, the school wants to show that providing a quality education an affordable price is possible.

By having smaller campuses without the ‘nice to have’ facilities such as gymnasiums, swimming pools and tennis courts, the school is able to achieve a lower cost structure. Instead, the school partners with a strong network of service providers that are able to deliver after school enrichment activities.

Assessment

Invictus Private School will use continual teacher assessment based on formative assessment. This will be informed by regular formal testing for knowledge, observation skills, assessing written work and project work and assessing of effort against the school’s matrix

In addition, there will be four opportunities a year for parent / teacher / student conferences to discuss progress and target setting.

Student-Teacher Ratio

Invictus Private School currently offers two full-time courses. These courses will be taught in a face-to-face classroom environment with an average teacher to student ratio of 1:18.

Teachers

Invictus Private School is proud to have a stellar academic board with board members that have strong academic merits, including attending Oxford University and being awarded the Order of Merit for their contribution to Education in New Zealand. The school is led by a principal and teaching team with over 20 years of experience teaching and nurturing young children.

Facilities

The Invictus Private School campus is an open concept floor plan. It is a conducive learning environment because the spaces created will reflect the needs of the students. This flexible working space allows teachers and students to learn in a variety of ways—creating new opportunities for students to work individually, in small groups or as a whole class.

Invictus Private School has three classrooms (classroom 1 is 44 sq. m., classroom 2 is 45 sq. m. and classroom 3 is 60 sq. m.)—25 students per classroom. An activity room (70 sq. m.) serves as a space for physical activities, creative arts and assemblies and a computer room is a space where students can access and explore computer technology.

Language Module

Following the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), the school implements a Chinese language module to prepare students for a diverse and multi – lingual future.
