Iris lutescens (Crimean iris) is a rhizomatous flowering plant in the genus Iris. It is cultivated as an ornamental plant in temperate regions. It grows up to 30cm tall, with broad leaves (about 2.5cm wide),[1] producing yellow or violet flowers in spring (March-April). It prefers dry conditions during its dormant period in the summer.[2]

This plant has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.[3]

It is native to North East Spain, Southern France and Italy. It is found on rocky or sandy hillsides or in woodlands.[1]
