Iván Hernández Rangel (born November 24, 1982 in Mexico City) is a retired Mexican boxer. He competed in the Super Featherweight division and is the former WBO Super Flyweight Champion.[1]
Professional career
In August 2001, Iván won the WBC Youth World Flyweight against Juan José Beltrán.[2]
WBO Super Flyweight Championship
At only 22 years old, Hernández won the WBO Super Flyweight Championship with an upset Knockout over American Mark Johnson in FedEx Forum, Memphis, Tennessee.[3]
He lost his Championship in his second defense to fellow Mexican Fernando Montiel.[4]
WBO Super Bantamweight Championship
Hernández's next fight will be against WBO Super Bantamweight champion Wilfredo Vazquez, Jr.[5]
