He went on to work in both film industries, in turns: after acting in two Tamil films Roja Koottam and Pengal,[2] he acted in four Telugu films, before he returned to Tamil and played the lead in Inidhu Inidhu Kadhal Inidhu opposite Neha, which was a remake of Anandam also produced by Ramoji Rao. In 2004, he teamed up with Sreenu Vaitla again in Anandamanandamaye. That year, he also starred in eight Tamil films. The first one was the come back of the Super hit "Kadhal Kotai director Akathian and Producer Sivasakthi Pandian movie "Ramakrishna.[3] Followed by "Amudhey" directed by Ezhil [4] Then, he acted in the big budget billingual "Guru Deva" and "Kaatrullavarai". In 2007 to 2009, he acted in three Telugu films "Navasantham", "Andala Ramudu" and "Gorintaku" for Mega Super Good Films and they all were super hits. Before entering Telugu film industry, Jaiakash acted in a Malayalam movie "Onnam Raagam" directed by A.Sreekumar and co starred renowned and famous Model actor Hari Nair, Devan, Maamu Koiya and Indrans. His first directorial venture was a Telugu movie "Sweet Heart". He directed and acted in a film called Mr Rajesh - The Killer, where he played seven characters. Currently he has two films to be released in Telugu, "Janma Janmala Bandhan" and "Donga Prema. In Tamil, he has one movie "Amavaasai" ready for release and "Munnal Kadhali" is under production.

Controversy

In 2005, Jai Akash's Guru Deva released and Jaiakash's acting was appreciated by the media, but the Telugu dubbed version of the film, Guru failed with Muppa Ankanna Rao, the executive producer of the version, failing to promote the film. Rao launched complaint to the police that Akash had hired attackers to threaten him for failing to publicize the film purposely.[5]

In 2009, Jai Akash filed a complaint to the Nadigar Sangam against actress Sunaina following allegations from her which claimed that she was not a part of the intimate scenes in the film, Madan and that Jai Akash as director had used a double.[6] Denying such reports, Jai Akash went on to claim that Sunaina was attempting to distance herself from the film.[7]
