Jaime Malet
Jaime Malet (1964 in Barcelona) is a business leader, businessman and attorney. He has been the elected Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Spain since 2002, and is currently a Senior Advisor at Measure, a Drone as a Service company.[1][2]
Biography
Malet received his law degree from the University of Barcelona. In 1987 and 1988, he studied international law and economics at the University of Houston, where he received his master’s degree (LL.M). In 2002, he completed the IESE’s Senior MBA (PADE).
He began his professional career at Arthur Andersen in Spain. In 1995, he founded his own law and economic advisory firm rendering services to multinationals. In 2008, he left the legal profession behind to focus on the world of international business consulting.
He has been Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Spain since 2002.In 2008, Malet and AmchamSpain lead a lobbying campaign in the US to secure observer status for Spain at G-20 summits. The Chamber has also pushed for a number of legislative changes concerning business and labor issues and tax policies, including the new Double Taxation Treaty between Spain and the US, which has been approved by both countries and is awaiting ratification.
