Jaunsari people

The Jaunsari are a tribal community found in Uttarakhand. Jaunsari people speak Jaunsari, inhabited the Jaunsar-Bhawar region of the western portion of the state in Garhwal Division. They are enlisted as one of the Schedule Tribes in Indian Constitution.Like other religion have their own cultural dance, costume, food, jaunsar too have. Some of the traditional dance forms are jeta,rasoo,nati etc.About costume, jaunsari's have ghagra, dhatu(to be put on head) and kilka(top).Aske, ulwe, pinwe,kindade are some of the traditional food items.They have different festivals such as davegat, nunai, jatra etc.
