Jeannie Deakyne

Jeannie Deakyne née Panton is the winner of the Mrs. Texas International 2005 and Mrs. U.S. Beauties 2008 beauty pageants.

Early life and education

Deakyne was raised in Arlington, Texas. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1993 and went on to graduate with a B.A. in Political science from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1998. During her college career she served as the Student Body President, was a Distinguished Military Graduate, and was a member of Gamma Phi Beta [1]

Achievements

Deakyne was crowned Mrs. Texas International 2005 on May 22, 2005 in San Antonio, Texas,[2] and subsequently competed in the 2005 Mrs. International Pageant in Chicago, Illinois.

She competed as Mrs. Texas in the U.S. Beauties National Pageant in Chicago, Illinois bringing home the crown to Texas on March 16, 2008. As Mrs. U.S. Beauties, Deakyne works in conjunction with the Lupus Foundation of America the National Spokesperson for their “Living with Lupus” program, promoting Research, Education, Awareness, Communication, and Health Care as it relates to Lupus. The LFA is the nation’s leading nonprofit voluntary health organization dedicated to Lupus. Through its over 300 chapters worldwide, branches and support groups, the LFA conducts programs of research, education and advocacy.

Deakyne is also a member of the Junior League of Arlington, Texas.
