Jenn Gotzon (born May 18, 1979) is an American film actress, international model, motivational speaker & author who had her career break portraying U.S. President Richard Nixon's daughter Tricia Nixon in Ron Howard's 2009 Academy Award-Nominated film Frost/Nixon opposite Frank Langella.[1] Since 2010, Gotzon starred in many uplifting and redemptive feature films,[2] including, mystery-drama Doonby opposite John Schneider, Robert Davi, Ernie Hudson, 2014 Oscar Nominated (rescinded) inspirational French and Indian War true-story Alone yet Not Alone, comedy-drama God's Country opposite Daniel Hugh Kelly, NSA cyber war-thriller Dragon Day, inspirational drama I Am Gabriel (Dean Cain, Gavin Casalegno (Young Shem in Noah), first silent evangelical feature film "The Good Book", Dante's Hell Documented portraying heroine Beatrice alongside Dante portrayed by Eric Roberts, inspirational rom-com "Princess Cut", hysterical sitcom TV pilots "Shelter" (Alicia Minshew) and "Heaven Help Us" (Nancy Stafford, Lee Meriweather), 2014 award-winning music video by Lamon Records "Walls" by artist Sean Guerrero.

Jenn Gotzon specializes in portraying historical characters (Tricia Nixon in Frost/Nixon, Englishwoman Lydia in 1750s Alone yet Not Alone, Beverly Sterling in 1944 US Navy GQ Johnny: The Heart of a Warrior and in talks to play Aimee Semple McPherson). Gotzon's passion is portraying protagonist roles from drama to comedy who find hope in the climax of the story in hopes to inspire and impact people's lives.

Gotzon's acting career hit a historical moment during Cannes Film Festival (2011) when she was #2 on IMDb Starmeter for the week of 15 May 2011,[4] due to her dramatic role in Doonby which was released to market.[5]

In 2008, Gotzon won Best Actress for short-film Stained at 168 Film Festival (2008).[6] ("Stained" made cinematic history being the first film shot on 4K Red One Camera to win a film festival).[7] Gotzon received the 2008 Rising Star Award alongside Hometown Pride Award Winner Chubby Checker at the Wildwood By the Sea Film Festival.[8][9] In 2003, Gotzon won Best Actress for Julie and Jack opposite Tippi Hedren at Sacramento's Global Art Film Festival.[10] Gotzon received her first award nomination at New York City's Talent In Motion Magazine sponsored Timmy-Awards for biographical photography project "Avvicinatevi: Come Near" while attending New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts in 2000.

Gotzon uses the movies she stars in as a platform to be a positive role model and give back through her mentor-outreach program called Inspiring Audiences. She's spoken across the country and at dozen of high schools in New Orleans since 2008.[11] Gotzon's mission is to work on films that have the ability to impact and inspire audience viewers.[12]

Early life and background

Gotzon was born Jennifer Lee Gotzon in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the daughter of fishing lure manufacturer and inventor Ronald Gotzon and tax accountant Jo-Ann Gotzon. She is the middle child with one brother, Marcus Tavares, nine years older and one sister, Michelle Gotzon, ten years younger. Gotzon was raised in the country-side of Northampton, Pennsylvania several miles from Blue Mountain Ski Area.[13]

She attended Northampton Area High School and graduated with high honors in 1997. Gotzon was very active in high school extra curriculum activities including Student Council (Sophomore Treasurer, Junior Vice President and Senior Class Representative), National Honors Society, Students Against Drunk Driving, Peer Helper, Amnesty International, One World One People, and leader of the Allentown Diocesan Youth Council.[14] Gotzon was a seven-year All-star softball player for Bath East Allen Township, member of the ski club, on the cheerleading squad and trained in gymnastics. At age 15, Gotzon began pursuing a career in acting and modeling working with Chartreuse Talent Management after she won the Rising Star National Scholastic Pageant. Gotzon continued on with pageants, competed for Miss America and made it to state level in 2000.[15]

After being told by her drama high school teacher that she didn't have enough talent to make it as an actress, Gotzon studied acting for over seven years and graduated from The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, Joanne Baron / DW Brown Studio Two-Year Conservatory, Clay Banks Film Acting Studio, Dale Carnegie Institute and several independent film classes after attending Northampton Community College for one year (1997–1998).

Fall of 1998, Gotzon moved to Florida to work for Walt Disney World and was cast as a parade dancer for Disney's new theme park Animal Kingdom where she danced jazz and salsa in the parade March of the Art'imals. January 1999, Gotzon was accepted into the two-year acting conservatory and began her official acting studies at The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. During summer break of 1999, Gotzon briefly relocated to Virginia Beach, VA and ran a murder mystery dinner theater. In 2001, Gotzon moved to the Silicon Valley in California and worked for John Robert Powers as the Director of Talent and as a promotional model for Baileys Irish Cream and Smirnoff Twist while auditioning for film. In 2002, Gotzon got cast in several independent films including Julie and Jack, where she won Best Actress. Gotzon worked for Google in various positions including HR Coordinator acclimating the Nooglers (new hires), worked alongside marketing department interviewing Google's first 30 employees documenting company history, later she relocated to the newly acquired Santa Monica office and worked as their receptionist, recruiting coordinator and was their Southern California softball team captain. Gotzon did not receive stock benefits when Google went public because she was an independent contractor during her duration at Google.[16]
