Jens Nylander is a Swedish businessperson. He is the founder of the companies Jens of Sweden, Jays, and Automile.
Early life
Nylander was born and raised in Sweden. He taught himself computer programming as a child.[1]
Career
Nylander founded the company Jens of Sweden in 2003,[2] which made portable media players. The company went bankrupt in 2005[3] and was taken over by Swiss company JOS.[4] In 2006 Nylander founded his second company, Jays (stylized as JAYS), which manufactured headphones. The devices were first produced in 2007.[5] In 2014 the company partnered with Microsoft to distribute headphones in the US market, and the company is listed on the Nasdaq OMX.[2] Nylander later founded Automile in 2014, a company producing a connected car platform.[2] The platform can record digital data from the car, such as speed or location, and update it to a central platform for use in fleet management.[6][7] Nylander is the president and CEO of the company, based in Palo Alto.[8]
