Jerry Wayne Hendren (born November 4, 1947) was an American football player. He played college football for the Idaho Vandals football team from 1966 to 1969[1] and professional football for the Denver Broncos in 1970. He led the NCAA in 1969 in both receptions (95) and receiving yards (1,452).[2][3][4] He also led the NCAA in 1968 in receptions (86) and receiving touchdowns (14).[5]
Hendren was signed by the Broncos in March 1970,[6] and he appeared in 10 games for the Broncos during the 1970 NFL season, principally on special teams.[7] He later had a long career in law enforcement. In 2013, Hendren was selected by the Big Sky Conference 42nd on the conference's list of "50 Greatest Male Athletes".[8]
