Jerry Michael Supiran (born March 21, 1973) is a former American child actor.[1] Supiran is best known for playing Jamie Lawson on the situation comedy Small Wonder, which aired from 1985 to 1989.[1]

Career

He has been credited with roles in 19 television and movie performances, including guest-starring roles in several noted series of the era, including Galactica 1980,[2] Little House on the Prairie,[1] Mr. Belvedere,[1] Newhart, Highway to Heaven,[1] Trapper John, M.D., St. Elsewhere,[1] and Archie Bunker's Place, along with several made-for-TV movies and a feature film called Uncommon Valor.

Personal life

In 2012 it was reported that Supiran put his acting on hiatus and was a full-time volunteer at a California homeless shelter.[1][2] His financial situation was affected by a living arrangement when he was 18 years old.[1] There were also questions concerning a former adviser over mismanagement and the loss of more than half a million dollars.[1] Supiran worked for a food and beverage corporation in Henderson, Nevada until 2010 when he resumed his career.[1][2]
