Jirikhimti is a market center in Myanglung Municipality in the Himalayas of Terhathum District in the Kosi Zone of eastern Nepal. Formerly a Village Development Committee this place was merged to form the new municipality since 18 May 2014. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2682 people living in 509 individual households. Jirikhimti is most popular market existing on the top of Himalayas.[1]
Geography& climate
- Usually, with the view of climate jirikhimti being on top has a little cold or it gets cold in winter & even in rainy season the climate stays cold to some degree.
- Geographically, it is in hilly reason on top & the area locates at lakeside & the environment of jirikhimti is quite cold as its altitude is higher.

- The security management within the jirikhimti baazar is quite good.For the effective security management, there are two types of security forces erected or standby.
