Joe (Joseph) Kolodziej is a publisher of the online blog The Junior Hockey News. He also is currently an agent/advisor at Hockey Talent LLC, a home-based company in Petosky, Michigan.[1]

Hockey background

Kolodziej was General Manager with the Northern Michigan Predators of the International Independent Hockey League in 2003. He also served as IIHL Director of Player Development.[2] The league folded in January 2004 before the conclusion of its only season.

Upon being released from prison Kolodziej was an executive and part-owner of the Battle Creek Revolution, a member of the short-lived All American Hockey League in 2009-10. He then served as General Manager of the Alpena Thunder, who competed in the two-team Continental Junior Hockey League in 2010-11.[3]

MNJHL

During the 2012-2013 season he served as team adviser and consultant to the Dells Ducks in the Minnesota Junior Hockey League.

In the 2013-2014 season he was back in the MNJHL serving as Vice President of the Central Wisconsin Saints.

Legal issues

Joseph Kolodziej has been convicted of crimes at least four separate times in three different states.[4] In 2004 Kolodziej was convicted of forgery when he opened a credit card account in the name of his employer.[5][6] He served nearly five years in prison. Court records indicate he was convicted of grand larceny in New York (1988), check fraud (1991) and auto theft in Florida (1993).[7]
