John Andrew Brewin^[1] (December 9, 1876 – March 7, 1938) was an American college football and baseball head coach for Davidson College in the early 1900s.^[2] He was the first official head coach for both teams in school history.^[3] Brewin also served as the Physical Director during his tenure at Davidson.^[4]

A native of Boston, Massachusetts,^[4] Brewin earned his medical doctor degree from Boston College in 1898.^[5] He had also spent his undergraduate years there and lettered for the football team from 1893 to 1896, serving as team captain in 1895.^[6] He died in Everett, Massachusetts in 1938.^[7]
