1980's

Joni Paladin was signed to Elektra as a solo artist. Sandy Pearlman, producer/manager of Blue Öyster Cult, produced her album, under the name Joan Paladin, however the release was postponed indefinitely. Joan Paladin recorded versions of The Motors' "Love And Loneliness" and Icon's 'Frozen Tears', penned by Bob Halligan Jr. Players included Kenny Aaronson, Tommy Zvoncheck, Thommy Price, Dave Dale, Phil Grande and Rudy Perrone.[2]

Working with Sandy Pearlman, Paladin recorded vocals for Blue Öyster Cult, credited as Joni Peltz. She appears on Club Ninja, vocals and background vocals. The Blue Öyster Cult The Complete Columbia Albums collection was released in 2012, crediting Joni Peltz with background vocals.[3]

Paladin also met Eric Levi, member of "Shakin' Street", whose album was also produced by Sandy Pearlman.

While signed to Elektra, before the projected release of her album, Paladin recorded two tracks on The Heavenly Kid soundtrack, "Heart Of Love" and "Animal Attraction" under the pseudonym Jamie Bond, produced by George Duke. "Heart Of Love", written by Roxanne Seeman and Billie Hughes, was released as the first single from the soundtrack album.[4]

1990's

Paladin performed the theme song "Passion for War/Love" of the French film L'operation Corned Beef. "Passion for War/Love" was written by Eric Levi and R. Stone. Eric Levi produced the recording and is the composer of the film.[5]

Later Years

Joni Paladin honed her craft as a jazz singer, songwriter, composer and musician. In 2008, she released Tenderly, title track of a four song EP, with a rendition of the jazz standard, as Jamie Bond.[6] The title also appears as by Joni Paladin.
