Jordannah Elizabeth (born October 16, 1986) is an American Author,[1] music journalist,[2] editor,[3] live music reviewer,[4] music promoter and folk soul musician.[5]

Jordannah Elizabeth was born in Baltimore, Maryland.[6] She relocated with her mother to Colorado Springs in 2002 and later contributed to the Colorado Springs Independent[7] as a music reviewer in 2011. At 19, she moved into the arts district of Denver[8] and interned at Space Gallery and AEG Live Rocky Mountain.

After a short stint of living in Los Angeles in 2008 and 2009 where she started the promotions firm, The Process Records Media Group,[9] Elizabeth relocated to New York City in 2010 and became an independent blogger, covering countless shoegaze, neo psych and experimental bands like The Black Angels,[10] The Warlocks, The Dandy Warhols[11] and The Vacant Lots on her (now defunct) music blog, TPR-Mag.com. In 2011 she became a regular contributor to Latin music blog Remezcla.com and The Wild Magazine, interviewing notable rock artists like Dead Meadow[12] and Peter Daltrey[13] of Kaleidoscope.

Elizabeth started her professional writing career by earning bylines in Vice Magazine,[14] Nerve.com[15] and Bitch Media[16] in March 2013. In October 2013, she was brought on as a regular contributing writer and entertainment reporter for New York Amsterdam News[17] arts and entertainment section. During this time she also wrote, self-produced and released her album, Bring to the Table.[18]

In December 2014, she moved to San Francisco[19] and contributed to a number of local publications such as San Francisco Bay Guardian, East Bay Express[20] SF Station and Broke-ass Stuart.[21] She is currently the associate editor of The Deli Magazine San Francisco. Elizabeth is also a civil rights and feminist writer who often offers commentary on racial and gender issues in America.[22] She has interviewed notable writers and musicians such as Talib Kweli,[23] Saul Williams[24] and Ishmael Butler of Shabazz Palaces[25] for SF Weekly, covering topics of race, class and cultural appropriation. Jordannah also contributed to MTV Iggy,[26] MTV's international and world music blog.

Jordannah is the founder and director of Publikprivate.org[27] a literary nonprofit organization that helps musicians, arts and culture[28] journalists and creative writers find jobs and internships. The blog has featured contributors like Pulitzer Prize winner, Mark Fritz,[29] Cat Power music director, Gregg Foreman[30] and film director, Lee Davis.

Elizabeth released her album, A Rush in 2015, which was produced by Breck Omar Brunson[31] formally of The Apes and Steve Kille of Dead Meadow and Pink Mountaintops. Her music has been featured in notable publications: The New Republic,[32] Playboy Online[33] and The Brooklyn Rail[34]

Jordannah is the author of an anthology of 40 of her articles, "Don't Lose Track Vol 1: 40 Articles, Essays and Q&As” published by UK based publisher Zero Books[35]"

Jordannah has written for 7 Alternative Weekly Newspaper & released 3 albums (via The Process Records), 1 single and an LP (TBA).
