Joseph R. Guerci
Joseph R. Guerci is a scientist who has pioneered several major radar and defence technologies. He has pioneered several major radar technologies including Robust and Knowledge-Aided Space-Time Adaptive Processing, and Optimal MIMO Waveform Optimization. He was also involved in the inception, research, development, execution, and ultimately transition of defense technologies for surveillance and reconnaissance, protection against weapons of mass destruction (WMD), tactical missile defense, space defense, and assured urban operations. He is an IEEE Fellow.[1] He currently serves as the President and CEO of Information Systems Laboratories.[2] He served as vice president and chief technology officer at Science Applications International Corporation.[3] Formerly, he also served as Director of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).[2][4][5][6] He was also a professor at Cooper Union, and Virginia Tech.[1] He earned a master's degree and doctorate degree in Systems Engineering from Polytechnic University, New York (now New York University Tandon School of Engineering).[1][7]
