Juan Dominguez Palermo (c.1560–1635) was an Italian conquistador and settler of Buenos Aires during the Viceroyalty of Peru.[1] His name carries one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, Palermo.[2]
Biography
Juan Dominguez Palermo had arrived at Rio de la Plata in 1585 from Sicily, his hometown.[3] His wife was Isabel Gómez de Saravia, descendant of Miguel Gómez de la Puerta.[4]
