Paramount Chief Julius Gulama was a Sierra Leonean paramount chief and politician. He was one of the founding members of the Sierra Leone People's Party. He was the father of Ella Koblo Gulama.
Julius Gulama is the son of Paramount Chief Momoh Gulama, Julius was Paramount Chief of Kaiyamba Chiefdom.[1] He was born in Moyamba, Moyamba District in the Southern Province of Sierra Leone. The Gulamas are ethnic Mendes, [1] and another daughter, Komeh Gulama, later married Brigadier David Lansana, Commander of Sierra Leone's Armed Forces.[1]
Julius became Paramount Chief of Kaiyamba Chiefdom.[1]
Chief Gulama worked hard to unite Sierra Leoneans of all ethnic groups together. He was a passionate advocate of education in Sierra Leone and he helped establish the BO Government School[1]
