Justinianopolis
Justinianopolis, Iustinianopolis or Ioustinianoupolis (Greek: Ἰουστινιανούπολις, "city of Justinian") may refer to one of several Ancient sites renamed in late Antiquity after Byzantine emperor Justinian I, some of which were (arch)dioceses :
- in Asia
- Mocissus, the provincial capital and Metropolitan archbishopric of Cappadocia Tertia; now the city Kırşehir, in Kırşehir Province, Asian Turkey
- Burqush, now a village in Syria
- in Europe
- Galata, a neighbourhood of Constantinople (now Istanbul), in European Turkey
- Dropull, now a village in southern Albania
- Kastoria, now in city in northern Greece
- in Africa
- Hadrumetum, now Sousse in Tunisia, was provincial capital and Metropolitan Archdiocese of Byzacena province
- Chebba, now a small city in Tunisia
- Coptus, a bishopric, now a Latin Catholic titular see; presently Qift, a small town in Egypt
