History

KAFF went on the air in 1963 and is a 5,000 watt daytime station, with low power nighttime authority [31 watts]. KAFF-FM went on the air as KFLG in 1968 as the FM station, originally playing adult contemporary during the day, country at night and classical music for a few hours on Sunday. It sported one of the first female DJ's in Flagstaff: Fawn (afternoon drive) and Lacy (Evenings). On December 16, 1986, the station changed its call sign to the current KAFF.[1]
