KBRE (1660 AM) is a radio station licensed to Merced, California, USA, the station serves the Merced area. The station is currently owned by Mapleton License of Merced, LLC.[1]
History
The station was assigned the KAXW call letters on 1998-01-09. On 2002-02-12, the station changed its call sign to KTIQ.[2]
According to the latest Arbitron ratings as published in Radio and Records (see below), this was a sports radio station called "The Ticket" (indicated by the letters "TIQ"), until some time in late 2007/early 2008, when the station became a Spanish religious station as "Amistad Christiana".
On March 16, 2016, KBRE's old active/alternative rock format moved to KTIQ as "105.7 The Bear", adopting in its branding the use of its new translator K289CB Los Banos. The station changed its call sign to the current KBRE on May 11, 2016.
