KOFM (103.1 FM) is a radio station based in Enid, Oklahoma. KOFM is the most popular radio station in NW Oklahoma. Located in Enid, Oklahoma, home of Vance Air Force in the U.S.A.. The station goes under the moniker as "1031 KOFM Continuous Country Favorites".

History

The heritage KOFM call letters were on an Oklahoma City Top 40 station on 104.1. KOFM dropped its format in 1986 to become AC "Magic 104" KMGL. The owners of Enid station KUAL (for "Quality Radio") saw a local opportunity for a better callsign, and switched their station from beautiful music to a top 40 format—and applied for the recently abandoned KOFM call letters. KOFM originally launched with the slogan "Maximum Music".

In the early 1990s, 1031 KOFM switched to Contemporary Country as it remains today. Live and Local community driven in which it is one of two live and local on-air stations (KGWA-AM; News Talk 960 KGWA is the other) serving Enid and the surrounding area reaching into 14 counties. The KOFM Morning Show which is known as Clepper in the Morning is rated by Arbitron as #1 in AM Drive in NW Oklahoma. 103.1 KOFM "Continuous Country Favorites" has remained live and local, and is the most listened to radio station in Enid and Garfield County according to Arbitron. In recent years, KOFM has been recognized as "Station of the Year" by the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters and a Marconi Award finalist as "Small Market Station of the Year" by the National Association of Broadcasters. Both 103.1 KOFM and its sister station News Talk 960 KGWA are owned by Williams Broadcasting. Dan Smith is General Manager. Alan Clepper is Program Director. J. Curtis Huckleberry is News Director. Williams Broadcasting offices and studios are located 1710 West Willow Suite 300 in Enid, Oklahoma 73703.
