Love Island is a British dating reality show. It is a revival of the earlier series of the same name, which aired for two series in 2005 and 2006, respectively, on ITV. The new series is presented by Caroline Flack,[1] narrated by Iain Stirling, who also occasionally presents the show alongside Flack often on elimination nights, and launched on 7 June 2015 live on ITV2. Unlike the original series, the contestants are members of the public rather than celebrities. The show returned for a second series on 30 May 2016 which ended on 11 July 2016.[2]
On 11 July 2016, ITV confirmed that Love Island had been recommissioned for a third series to air in 2017.[3][4]
