Keith Mansfield, born in Scunthorpe, England in 1965, is an English writer and publisher. He is the author of the Johnny Mackintosh series of novels, has scripted several television programmes and is also the publisher for mathematics books at Oxford University Press.[1][2]

His first novel, Johnny Mackintosh and the Spirit of London was longlisted for the New Horizons Book Award 2010[3] and has been shortlisted for the Concorde Book Award 2011.

Schooled in Nottingham (Nottingham High School and West Bridgford School) and studying mathematics and physics at Trinity College, Cambridge,[4] Mansfield's work is notable for the way it weaves scientific ideas and concepts into the general narrative. Mansfield lives in Spitalfields, London[5] and is the recipient of a Hawthornden Fellowship. His novels have been translated into Dutch[6] and Norwegian.[7]
