Kellie Jones (born 1959) is an American Associate Professor in Art History and Archaeology in African American Studies at Columbia University. She won a MacArthur Fellowship.
Biography
She got her Ph.D. in Yale University (1999).
Her research interests include African Diaspora and African American artists, Latin American and Latino/a artists, and problems in contemporary art and museum theory.[1]
In 2005, Kellie Jones is the inaugural recipient of the David C. Driskell Prize.[2]
Kellie Jones' book EyeMinded: Living And Writing Contemporary Art, was recently published by Duke University Press and offers a selection of her essays and art writing from 1985 to 2006.[3]
Kellie Jones has also worked as a curator for over three decades.[1]
