Kenny Simpkins was a Welsh goalkeeper (soccer player) who played professionally in the 1960s. After five unproductive years at Wrexham[2] he joined Hartlepool during which time he played for the Welsh Under 23 side.[3] He married a, "local, but not too local" girl and still lives in the area.[4]
