Kent Russell is an American novelist.[1] He is best known for his debut book, I Am Sorry to Think I Have Raised a Timid Son.[2][3] The book is composed of Russell’s collection of essays where he documents his personal journey as a child.[4][5] Russell was recognized in Refiner29's list of "21 New Authors You Need to Know."[6]

He has also contributed to GQ Magazine, Harper's Magazine, The Believer, and New Republic.[7][8][9][10] Russell was also a finalist for Brooklyn Public Library’s Eagles Prize.[11]
