Kevin Gregory Churko (born 19 January 1968 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian musician, sound engineer, songwriter and record producer best known for his work with artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Papa Roach, Modern Science, Five Finger Death Punch, Hinder, In This Moment, and Shania Twain.[1]

Awards

He has been nominated for seven Juno Awards and has won four times.[2] He won his first Juno in 2008 for Recording Engineer of the Year for Ozzy Osbourne's "I Don't Wanna Stop"/"The Almighty Dollar" single,[3] once in 2009 for Engineer of the Year for Simon Collins "U-Catastrophe" and again in 2011 for engineering "Scream" by Ozzy Osbourne.[4] He was nominated for producer of the year in 2010 for his son Kane Churko's band Modern Science and in This Moment's second album "The Dream".[5] In 2013 He and his son Kane Churko were jointly nominated for producer of the year for their work on In This Moments "Blood" and "Adrenalize" and won the Recording Engineer of the Year award for In This Moment's "Blood" and Five Finger Death Punch's "Coming Down".[2]

Churko also produced and co-wrote the song "I Don't Wanna Stop" by Ozzy Osbourne which was nominated for "Best Hard Rock Performance" at the 2008 Grammy Awards. Churko & Ozzy were nominated for a second Grammy Award again for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2010 for Scream.[6]
