They broke away from The Sixth Yamaguchi-gumi in 2015 and formed a new group called Kobe Yamaguchi-gumi.[1] The Kohei-Ikka faction of the Sumiyoshi-kai is one example that has expressed alliance with the Kobe breakaway.[2]
